Benjamin W. "Ben" Cumming III, who had worked as a heating and air conditioning installer, died Tuesday from complications of pneumonia at his Glen Rock, Pa., home. He was 45.

The son of an Air Force officer and a dental assistant, Mr. Cumming was born in Aurora, Colo., and moved with his family to Kingsville in 1967.

He was a 1983 graduate of Perry Hall High School and began working as a heating and air conditioning installer.

He had worked for Ridge Heating and Air Conditioning as a teenager and later for Martin J. Braun before starting his own heating and air conditioning business.

Mr. Cumming, who had survived cancer, had been on a medical disability for the last 41/2 years, family members said.

In recent years he enjoyed being a handyman and playing his guitar.

"He was also an avid bird watcher and enjoyed being out of doors," said his sister, Elizabeth Belschner of Edgewood. "He also loved his dog."

Services will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Apostolic Voice of Truth Church, 1810 Nuttal Ave., Edgewood.

Also surviving are a daughter, Megan Hunkovic of Timonium; his parents, Benjamin W. Cumming II of Mobile, Ala., and his mother, Jessica Belschner of Edgewood; his companion, Charlene Frantz of Glen Rock; and several nieces and nephews.
